Associate Professor Yeo Jin Fei

Oral Maxillo-Facial Surgeon

Dr. Yeo Jin Fei is a senior oral and maxillo-facial consultant in practice for over 30 years. His specialty interest lies in oral maxillofacial surgery (wisdom tooth surgery, oral maxillary trauma/injury, and corrective jaw surgery), oral pathology and medicine, dental implants, and orofacial pain.

 

He is distinguished by his professional appointments, his role as an educator and his leadership and commitment to local and international dental organisations. He is also passionate in research and development of new dental materials. In 2002, Dr. Yeo was awarded the Public Service Medal for his contributions to public service, and is the Inaugural President of the College of Dental Surgeons, Academy of Medicine Singapore.

 

Prior to private practice, Dr. Yeo was Senior Consultant at National University Hospital’s Department of Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore’s Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Yeo is currently Visiting Senior Consultant at the National University Centre for Oral Healthcare and Department of Pathology in National University Hospital.
 

Outside of work, Dr. Yeo enjoys reading and spending time bonding with his family.

Dr Edwin Heng

Dr Edwin Heng graduated from the National University of Singapore with a BDS degree in 1999, winning the gold medal for being the best all-round final year dental student of his cohort.

​

He was also awarded the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) Postgraduate Scholarship in 2001 and further obtained his Masters in Oral Biology and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study (Periodontology) from the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2004. He attained his FAMS (Periodontology) specialist exit requirement in 2010.

From 2008-2009, he was attached to the prestigious Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in Boston as a Visiting Adjunct Faculty, where he helped the Periodontal Department to direct both didactics and clinical components in Graduate Periodontics. He has also been a Visiting Consultant to Alexandra Hospital (2007-2008) and Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (2010-2012).

His interesting career portfolio includes being the SAF Head Dental Officer (2006-2008) and Head of General Staff, HQ Medical Corps (2010-2011). He left the military service in 2011 and has since been in private practice. He was also elected as the Vice President of the Singapore Dental Association from 2010-2012.

​

Even while in private practice, he always believes in continuing education and constant upgrading. He lectures and gives hands-on courses frequently within the Asian dental circuit in the realms of Periodontics and Implant dentistry. He is also widely sought after as an international consultant/speaker for global periodontal and dental implant companies. Because of his constant involvement in education and clinical expertise, he is honoured to be the first Singaporean dentist to be appointed as a Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at Kanagawa Dental University in Yokosuka, Japan since Apr 2016.

Dr Ng Chee Hon

Oral Maxillo-Facial Surgeon

FAMS (Oral Maxillofacial Surgery)

Dr Ng Chee Hon is a specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. His interests are in wisdom tooth surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, oral facial dental implants, orthognathic surgery, oral medicine and, dentistry in medically complicated patients. He has had work experience in the public and the private; both local and internationally. He is currently a part-time teacher with the University.

 

Dr Ng obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from NUS in 1996. He was awarded PhD from his alma mater in 2001. He further trained in NUS and graduated with Master of Dental Surgery from NUS in 2005. He undergone advanced training in the Specialty of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and was awarded FAMS (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery) in 2015.

 

Dr Ng is a member of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Singapore. He is an avid contributor to both teaching and research at the University. He was bestowed a fellow of the College of Clinician Educators, Singapore since 2015. And he loves his work.
